Antoine Pierce is a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge.
Since his teen years, he has been a dedicated servant of his community. As one of seven children, Antoine grew up in a lower middle class home filled with love, wholesome Christian values, and an emphasis on the importance of education that as a parent he upholds today. His modest upbringing inspired him to obtain his education from Louisiana State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Studies. His entrepreneurial spirit and desire to give back to his community inspired him to establish Better Boys Initiative, Inc., a nonprofit organization that uses the arts to develop character and bolster self esteem among minority and under served young men throughout Baton Rouge. Antoine served on Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's transition subcommittee for the Office of Community Development. He currently serves as an appointee of Governor John Bel Edwards to his advisory board for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Antoine believes that his efforts in our community will instill a sense of pride, self worth, and determination in the youth which he hopes will inspire them to set goals and pursue their dreams. This work reflects his commitment to the use of innovation and creativity to spur economic growth of our state.
